Together, We Will Uncover Your True Nature and Restore Balance
An Ayurvedic Health Counselor is a professional who specializes in the ancient Indian system of medicine known as Ayurveda. Ayurveda takes a holistic approach to health and wellness. It relies on natural remedies and personalized treatment plans to restore balance and promote overall well-being. These counselors have a deep understanding of the body's constitution (doshas) and how imbalances in these doshas can lead to various health issues. By addressing the root cause of health problems, they empower individuals to take control of their own health and live a more balanced and harmonious life.
***It is important to note that Ayurvedic Health & Wellness Counselors are not medical doctors and do not diagnose medical conditions. However, they can work alongside other healthcare professionals to provide complementary and integrative care.
Structure of services
Initial Consultation (1.5 hours):
The Ayurvedic mind-body types (doshas) and Ayurvedic principles require me to gather information about the whole person. This allows me to understand the possible causes of imbalance and recommend education that best fits the client's state of imbalance and life circumstances.
Report of Findings & Education Session (1 hour):
At our second visit, we will discuss your mind-body type (doshas) and Ayurvedic principles that help support your understanding of your unique nature. Change can be overwhelming, so I make sure I go at my client's preferred pace. My initial recommendations might be a list of simple lifestyle & dietary changes to incorporate, removing dietary or lifestyle causative factors, and/or incorporating a service outside of my professional expertise (i.e. obtaining routine lab work, etc.).
Follow Up Visits (1 hour):
During each follow-up visit, we evaluate the effectiveness of the recommendations and make adjustments based on your feedback and preferences as well as my professional and clinical experience. I aim to ensure that we make meaningful and stress-free progress.
My goal is to rekindle the body's ability to heal itself through education on various methods, including lifestyle adjustments, somatic techniques, dietary changes, herbal formulations, personalized Ayurvedic body treatments, aromatherapy, and other natural therapies. The number of treatments required will depend on the level of imbalance and the overall goals of the client.
